SAVE WHEN YOU ARE SICK

You must be thinking that I'm crazy. Sick and still thinking of saving money ???!!!

Going to consult a doctor is so expensive nowadays. For small sickness such as common flu, common cough, slight fever etc. you can just get the medicine from pharmacy. You are paying lesser as you dont have to pay consultancy fees. However, you have to be very careful and have some knowledge on medicines is essential. Most importantly you must know your body, your health, your habit well.

On your spare time, read more about medicines. Understand their benefiting effects as well as side effects (I'm not asking you to be a doctor ok). Eg, Mucosolvan is for treatment of productive cough and loosening phlegm. So, when you are coughing with phlegm, you know you can get it from your pharmacy. Ask pharmacist for opinion and double confirm before your purchase.

Trust me, you can realy save some money. However, I have to STRESS that you must read up and know more. You have to consult a doctor if your symptom is not towards common sickness.

2) Egg Shells is rich in calcium and potassium. Crash dry eggshell and place on the soil around plants.

3) Milk contains nitrogen building protein. Just mix 1 part to 4 parts of water. Give one cup of this liquid to your plan once a week.

STANDBY MODE OF APPLIANCE

In most of the case, the source of waste is not noticeable and not detected. Many home or office appliances user has the habit of using remote control which is so convenient in operating. I always call remote control as a lazy man’s tool.

My piece of advice : Switch off your TV, DVD+CD Player, Computer, Printer, Sound System etc at the power socket. Please do not leave them on standby mode. On standby mode, your appliance is still drawing power even though it is unnoticeable.

Have good practice of switching off your appliances in your house or office can actually save up to about 10% of your electricity use. You can expect to save around S$50.00 per year.

Can you imagine all this small little standby you have ignore, can actually save you some cash for a little Christmas Present. So, just stretch your hand a little bit and off the power point. Simple isn’t it ?

CHECK FOR THE ENERGY SAVING LABELS

There are so many varieties of models and capacity of refrigerator in the market. The most important features you should look for is not just the capacity, the purchase price and exterior look of the refrigerator. You should look for the Energy Saving Label. Look for the TICKS. A four ticks air conditional and refrigerator will definitely save you more as compare to a one tick and two ticks.

Base on Singapore computation, an energy saving refrigerator can save you about S$100 per year and an energy saving air-conditioner will save you about S$350.00 over a year. Isn’t it amazing ? Buy smart, save smart !!!

SWITCH TO FAN

Do not rely on air conditioner on daily basis. I know and I understand that heat is unbearable. Hot weather makes me sick too.

On days where weather is ok, switch it to fan instead of an air conditioner. You might not get use to it initially but I assure you that you will get use to it in no time. You will be very surprise that if you do a total switch, you may be saving about S$50.00 per month (base on Singapore context).

Thus, use more fan then air-con. Save the Environment, save yourself.....oops....I tot it's "save the cheer-leader, save the world" ????? :P

AIR CONDTIONER

Singapore and other tropical countries are always facing the problems of heat and humidity. Most of us can’t bear with the heat and air-conditioner is essential. How do we enjoy and at the same time lower the power consumption ?

Here it goes. It’s really that simple. Just set your air conditioner’s thermostat at 25ºC or higher. I notice that my consumption has gone down. On the average, every degree raised will save you about S$20.00 per year (base on Singapore energy computation). Hey just freeze your energy wastage by pressing a button on your air-con’s remote control. Piece of cake !!!

MY WEB ON BABIES,KIDS,TEENAGERS & PARENTING

Learning and exploring new things are always part of me. I have just constructed my new web site on babies, kids, teenagers and parenting.

It is so much fun writing and putting my articles on web so that I can share all I know about children with proud parents & concern adults. It is not very difficult to build your site but I'm still not satisfied with my space. I will keep adding on more contents and trying some technique to beautify and improve the rooms. Hahaa......just like drug addicting.

Everyday I'm thinking of my blog and my web site. Well, most importantly. I really enjoy doing it. Dear friends, do give me some comments after browsing through my site : http://adelineverytiki.googlepages.com/

GIVE BEFORE YOU TAKE

There's one weapon I always use when doing my open house sales.........Give before you take.

Prepare some good snacks, desserts, drinks, small little door gift etc for people who visit your house. Welcome them with your unique gift of food (they cant find else where but to get it from your place....hehe.....you are one point up in that case.)

I don’t believe in spending too much on advertisement. Food itself is GREAT advertisement. I believe in personal touch. Your great snacks with great merchandises will make them come back for more. Trust me. Not many people will just come for the food.

Not to worry if you do not know how to cook. I'll compile some of my favorite recipes and share with you when available. Just give me some time to do it ok.

Items too old (in your opinion it's old but to others ?.....). Urge to throw used stuff to clear up space. Wanting to change new things but you are still having the old one........etc......etc

Dont's just throw away. All these OLD hacks are treasures To You and To Others who need it.

SAVINGS = EARNINGS

Saving a dollar or even cent here and there won't make you a millionaire instantly but it will definitely add up your reserves.

Ready for SAVINGS ?.........Here you go......the first trick :

Smart Shoppings !!! Do consider shopping at budget stores. Most budget stores sell daily use items such as toiletries and kitchenwares. You can even find snacks, stationery, garments etc. Those kind of "No Brand" items which are inexpensive. Who needs branded disposable paper plates anyway. But, take note of the packing size and compare them with the price on per unit basis. Eg. $10 for bag of 10pcs is cheaper then $3 for a bag of 2pcs.

Spend money carefully on Smart Shopping with simple maths calculation will make a difference. Spend your extra money for a great vacation which you long for.

BLOGS EARNINGS

You may heard of or read about people earning 4 to 5 figures per month via bloggings. Well, that is one of the way you may earn extra cash by writing some blogs or creating websites. Thereafter, by placing advertisements on your blogs whereby visitors may click and view will enable you to start earning money from it. Whether you are a newbie or expert marketer, it works.

Let me share with you how it's done :
First, CREATE a blog (eg with blogger.com or others that you are comfortable with)with rich and unique contents. Let say write about Cotton Candy...everything about and related to it. Then, after posting some well written blogs, register with Googles AdSense. (You will receive confirmation letter from Adsense team in a day or two. They may reject your application if your blogs sucks...haha...). It is a fast and easy way where AdSense will help displaying related ads and Google Seach on your content pages.

You will earn money whenever visitors clicks them.......click=$, click=$,....Can you hear the sound of money ? Yeah....... Spend some time in a day or two to write your interesting blogs. You can turn your hobby blog into money making machine.

Don't expect to earn a fortune overnight without putting in effort. The more you want to earn, the better the quality of your blog must be. Be realistic. Work towards it okay.
